No mention of the two children that saw the craft coming in over the town, smoking and dropping from the sky. No mention that the well did in fact have left over foundations from a wind mill which was said to NOT be there ? If the town was keen to set up a tourist spot, no museum with parts left over was set up and little to nothing more was done over this story to per say create a "tourist" spot. What is really interesting is the ship was burning up as it came in from the south and I have a feeling this was an escape pod for a much larger ship. I think we know where that wreck would be now. The body was describe as "humanoid" and in bad shape from those early reports. Still needs to be looked into, but time has covered up this one.

I was one of the producers of a children's movie based on this incident, titled, The Aurora Encounter. The probable cause of this incident is an aviation enthusiast on the west coast who construction a copy of the blimp invented by Henri Giffard in France in 1852. He offered his airship to the military and they agreed to buy it, if he could fly it to Florida, so they could use it to monitor events in Cuba.
He attempted to fly his blimp to Florida but never arrived. It's likely the hydrogen gas caught fire as he flew over Aurora, Texas, as happened to the hydrogen gas filled Hindenburg blimp in 1937.

The first recorded manned flight was by a British army officer circa 1887. This was the first controlled unpowered manned flight, ....powered flight later took place across the world after the turn of the century. not an accurate commentary on this video.
