I'll still never forget something my dad told me years ago when I was young. He was a police detective and a specialist in accident reconstruction. The department was in a relatively small town in South Texas. He was called out to a scene where 2 truck drivers had wrecked. One of the men was killed and was somehow burnt so bad that his bottom half was basically singed to the pavement. The other truck driver gave a statement and said there was a low flying object that hovered over them for a few miles and then flashed a blue light that hit the front of the truck causing the crash.
The heat was so strong it was able to melt the front end of the truck and the part of the road where the victim was. However, the incident was written off and no one took the truck driver seriously. About a week later, there was another report of the low flying object and a bright blue light in the same area. There was a small strip club right across where the wreck was that burned down that night. The strip club burning down made local news and surprisingly the UFO and the light was mentioned.

Addendum: I was doing some more digging as I hadn't revisited this in years, and there was anotherbuilding that mysteriously caught fire right next to the old Strip Club. Literally just yards away. I had no idea. It used to be a restaurant in the 90s and early 2000s. Insurance fraud was suspected but never proved. Arson is most likely the cause, but could never be determined. Not sure if it's all tied in, but it is extremely odd.

A relative that was in the military in WWII and a pilot, told me that in the 1950's he was driving down a country road in Ohio, when he came upon a clearing and saw a round object hovering above the ground. He stopped to watch it, and it rose straight up, collapsed onto itself, and then instantly shot straight up into the sky at a fast speed and disappeared. He said that he had never told anyone about this, until I asked him if he'd ever seen a UFO. He also said that he was sure our military did not have anything like what he saw.
