You have to find a better solution for the camera. All those shakings speeded up doesn't help.

Never understood manufacturers sayin there sealed 🤔🤔🤔🤔how can an oil which by its nature degrades with age and use is supposed to be in there for life 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈cool vid tho Ryan 🙌🙌🙌crazy how little oil it took before pouring back out 😉😉stupid idea and stupid fill instructions 😉😉😉

We always take the fill plug of first, just in case it’s stuck and you can’t put the oil back in. Not so relevant on newer vehicles like that though! Great video, nice to see a company that wants to change these oils, most just can’t be bothered or think you are mad for asking, and charge you double for the trouble!

Hello. The real way to change the oil in the box is to remove the oil from the crankcase and change the filter. Put back the oil that came out of the cap and place the dialysis machine and wait for the inside of the box to meet the new oil and wait until the old oil comes out completely clean, (while the vehicle is running) . After that, wait for the oil temperature to drop to less than 35° and open the level plug and check that it is level. Greetings.

I had the same issue on my BMW ZF 6HP26 transmission. Drained the oil as per the ZF guidelines, changed the filter, got the transmission to temperature, cycled the gears and could only ever get just over 4 litres of fluid back in, even though the capacity is 9 litres. I think a lot of fluid stays in the torque converter and doesn't drain out when you take the sump plug out.

Put all the oil in a metal container then heat it up then pump it in hot a 12v oil extraction pump in reverse works great for filling diffs and awkward gearboxes

Of all the videos on YouTube, I believe this is the worst how to ever.

The humble mechanic told one that if they were in a hurry they preheated before filling the oil to get it up to temp faster

Little trick for filling these up, use a 6ltr pressurised garden sprayer. Put 6ltrs in. Fill the sump up first until it comes out the fill plug. Put the plug in. Start engine and rev it to 2.5k 2 to 3 times and turn engine off. Fill again until it comes out the fill plug. Plug back in. Start engine and go P to R, N, D tip 1st and tip 2nd, then back to P. Fill sump up again with engine in idle until it dribbles out. Plug back in then drive up to temp, we usually check at 40 degrees.
To get them up to temp quicker you can leave it in D with your foot on the brake and it'll get up to temp a bit quicker.

Remember too the torque converter will have a good amount of oil in it still, and then you'll have some still on top of the mechatronic.

It's interesting Audi say no need to replace oil but ZF say every 100k km.

Iv got a 68 plate v6 amarok, vw rang me a while ago and said I need my haldex oil changed and my dsg oil changed. I booked it in not really thinking about it. They had the truck all day, then rang me and said "good news, there is no charge for today as you don't have a DSG or haldex 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
How can a main dealer be so wrong!!!
Wish you guys were closer to me 😪

I just did this a couple months ago by myself on my BiTdi at 115k (Km). Would recommend anyone just paying up at the dealer for this job. Waiting for the oil to heat up or cool off took AGES.

Would have been good to test the old oil to see if it was out of range also.

If you drain ATF when cold you don't need to worry about the extra .5l for cooler as the valve is shut. I did my 2013 tdi420 following procedure except after first drain filter change and refill i took it for a drive until ATF was at 75c then let it cool down to under 30c and drained and refilled again. All up I put in 8l of ATF.

Front diff fluid change was a pain in the behind, I had to make a special tool to get to the refill plug.
