I’ve been running Amsoil fuel efficient ATF in my Ram 8HP transmission since 60, 000 miles now at 85, 000. It works fantastic no issues at all. I also used a PPE pan with replaceable filter. I’m very pleased

Yay! We spoke about this days ago. Fight the good fight!! Change your fluid earlier than they say and also don’t believe lifetime fluid or OEM only fluid nonsense. The Amsoil Signature Series and OE Fuel Efficient ranks high on the RAT540 blog

My ZF 6HP drains about 5 quarts. Yes I used the Amsoil OE fluid. On my next change, I will lower the valve body and change the bridge seal, connector sleeve, and the 4 rubber seals. I probably will get more than 5 quarts when I do this

there is transmission cooler lines on my Acura, I put little extra above the mark on cold. On my Honda there is no transmission cooler lines so i would not overfill it.

Aren't ZF transmissions not compatible with ATF? I thought you're only supposed to use ZF fluid in these transmissions?

Can you also service an Xdrive transfer case, front and rear differentials not using bmw fluids? I’m thinking of using Redline MTLV or something light for the transfer case and Valvoline 75W90 on the diffs because they tested well…

Was the orignal ATF oil color green ? I have zf8hp50 want to try Amsoil ATF but its Red and im worried will damage the transmission

My wife always goes to dealer - they have not and will not service this trans.. car has 100k now - wife drives like granny, im going to have a look at it . Will do a dump and fill first. Chrysler pigs.
