I have experience with Quadrajets and Edelbrock carburetors and daily drivability in my experience goes to the Quadrajet. But since the AVS2 came out, that has been my go to. The annular primary boosters get me instant cold starts and better fuel milage.

You didn't take out the accelerator pump brass check valve when you disassembled the carb and it must have fallen out when you cleaned the body. It didn't appear to be in place when you reinstalled the pump nozzles.
FIND the check valve on the FLOOR.

Would the carburetor be in better shape, if you switched to pure gasoline and idled the engine for 5 minutes before you shut if the engine????

Very good job! Best practice is to wear gloves when working with carb chemical cleaner as it easily penetrate the skin + blood stream. Safety & health first. Thanks for sharing great ideas.

You didnt day anything about the needle under the pump squirter, i saw that you had it up sidr dowm and never said any thing about the needle, it must have fallem out when dumped it up side down, it needs that for the pump to work

Being you dont know crap about ethanol let's me know this video is total BS . That green slime is from the gas and the other additives added in the gas . Green slime was there way before ethanol gas was used back in the 60s .
