[Solved] esp8266 NodeMCU esptool fatal error in Arduino : timed out waiting for packet content

For anyone finding this video not useful... In may case I have an NodeMcu 12E and it had integrated in it a CH chip. I reinstaled the CH chip driver for my board and the code worked perfectly. The problem is that you need to do that every time you want to upload a new code...

Thanks. It helped me solve my code upload problem. I had to use com 3 port instead of com 1. Switching port in arduino ide, solved my problem.

after trying eveything on the net.. I solved mine by reheating the IC and the whole board with a hot air gun. it seems like some of the smd pins of the ic have diconnected.. because of me handling and flexing the board while prototyping and working with it..

I had the same problem and yes this problem about bad connection with COM port. My problem was with low power on ESP8266.
