I am Hindu born and raised in the US. And i have to say that hearing the teachings from Swami Asha is exactly what Hinduism for the layperson needs...a woman who can explain so articulately hindu spirituality. Ive listened to many many many men, of western and eastern backgrounds, discuss these concepts in such unrelatable ways...and the women given any sort of substantive voice have been academic or too new-age or dogmatic.
I dont agree with everything she says, but Swami Asha is definitely one of the first female voices that finally makes me feel more Hindu. And i beleive that is exactly what both women and men need not only in india but also the diaspora. I look forward to finding other hindu spiritual female voices and am so happy to have found yours.
Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge.🙏❤

I have just learned of you and am so very thankful to hear the wisdom you have to share. Your words on how to approach our parents leaving their bodies is timely for me, but I have also been struggling with how to handle the end of a romantic friendship that was very dear to me. It is a death, of sorts, but you've shown me how to go through it with dignity and grace. Thank you so very much.

Listening to NDE stories helps me understand that there is so much more to life than what we were taught. The JeffMara Podcast has wonderful stories.

We are so lucky to have been born in India. In our culture we are always taught that one day we will be standing in front of God and answering...!!

Fantastic presentation. I too have this facination with death. Not in a morbid way but like yourself. I have a book called The Art of Dying. I cant remember the author, but he is a DR. Ive lent it to my elderly father who is very healthy at the moment. I hope he reads it . its a beautiful book.

Lotus is a spiritual symbol in "Sanatana Dharma". It has a special meaning. Many Goddesses like Lakshmi are shown with Lotus in their hands. One name of Lakshmi is Padma or Padmaja (born on the lotus).
Why is lotus so important?
Lotus is a symbol of non-attachment. It teaches us how to live in the world and yet remain detached from it. It is surrounded by dirt, unclean water and yet does not complain. It looks not to the dirty surrounding but aims high at the Sun above.
Bhagwath Geetha (Chapter 5, verse 10) says:
(ब्रह्मण्याधाय कर्माणि सङ्गम् त्यक्त्वा करोति यः।
लिप्यते न स पापेन पद्मपत्रमिवाम्भसा ॥
English: Brahmanyadhaya Karmaani Sangam Tyaktva karoti yaha
Lipyate na sa paapena Padma Patram eva aabhyasaa)
Meaning: One who acts by dedicating all activites to the "Ultimate", giving up attachment, is not affected by his surroundings just like a Lotus surrounded by dirty water.

One good book on NDE would be "Dying to be me" by Anita Moorjani. A fascinating book.

I don't understand then, when unconscious people wake up again in the physical world, how do they choose their parents and people who will teach them lessons 🤔
