The day my uncle passed. I got extremely tired, fell into a deep sleep. I went to my uncle and told him "ok it's time to go" he nodded and heard his thoughts. We walked a distance I was looking at my body facing him. I stopped and told him "I can't go any further, you have to go the rest alone" he hesitated and he asked without a word "are you sure? Do you want to come with me?" I huge part of me wanted to agree but I thought of my children I told him "I want to but I have to go back and have things I still need to do" he understood. We hugged, he thanked me, I turned away and woke up. Felt something missing in my heart. Had a missed call and was told he passed. I responded "I know"

When I was 10, I was reading on my bed one afternoon, alone in the house, a very quiet spring day. I was really involved in my book and some tiny sound suddenly caught my attention. I stopped reading and realized I was way up near the ceiling. I cannot really describe it. I had a very weird feeling that it was impossible, I must be asleep, but I wasn't. The moment I started to move, I fell back down onto the bed, hard, bouncing a little. I was completely shocked and unnerved. I also wanted to "fly" again!! However I tried, or didn't try, I never had any experience anywhere near that again! I'm 61 now, and it's still a vivid memory of an unexplainable sensation. Has anyone else floated while awake? I know it sounds like I was dreaming, but I really was wide awake, just wrapped up in my book, which I later thought might have been completely hypnotic or like meditation. I did not know anything about astral travel, etc., then, but got interested when I did hear of it later...never had another experience at al though....

This happened to me. I was sitting on the edge of my bed. Side note- when I stand up everything hurts, I'm disabled- the room went dark like dusk and suddenly I was standing in front of my friends father who had passed a number of years ago. There was like a faint spotlight on us. We stared at each other for like 20-30 seconds then I was normally sitting on my bed. I have never had anything like that happen before or since.

I lucid dream almost every night. Naturally, I've had couple of "accidental" astral projections before I knew they were a thing and before I knew the difference between a lucid dream and an astral projection. So, yes, it is possible to have an OBE by accident. In fact most people have an astral projection between their dreams and they are not even aware of it.

When I was 11 or 12 years old, I was reading books on astral projecting, and also on life after death experiences. I was traumatized as a child, abused, and just extremely unhappy in general I’m so thankful I got born again, and gave my life to Jesus about 35 years ago. I had never heard of the thing called sleep paralysis, but even as a born-again child of God, I experienced it. The demon had me in a headlock, and the only thing that I could do was think on the name, Jesus, and it immediately let me go. I was calling on my mom to help me in my mind and someone who lived in the house, again, in my mind, because I wasn’t able to speak or move at all. But when I thought ‘Jesus’ the thing immediately let me go, so if any of y’all ever have a problem, like that, just think on the name of Jesus and the demon will let you go!!

When I was 6 years old I recall floating above my bed and I was having a stand off with this weird creature / entity . It was trying to intimidate me. I was frightened, very defensive but angry too . I was trying to stand my ground and protect my space as this entity was really getting into my face. I would shove it back with my mind but it would zoom up into my face again staring me down in a threatening manner . I remember it had huge eyes and no actual definable body. Eventually it went away leaving me alone. In all these years I've never forgotten it

I call it "flying". For me it started when I was about 6 years old . The only difference I ever find with other natural astral projection stories is that I never get to see my body. I don't experience floating above it, I just feel this incredible feeling of weightlessness and peace. Then after what my child self would call, "the good feeling", I go high in the sky moving fast. At times I would get afraid because when I would fly to low, I would see darkness and it had a pressure to it, but I would be guided to fly higher. I have met with other flying entities that would guide me and they warned me against flying in the dark place. On a great day I'd fly in the stars but on an average day I could see the earth. Before I returned to my body each time I'd fly above a giant wall that seemed to surround an old city (there was never any people), and then over a big clock tower, finally back into my body. I enjoyed this experience so much that by about age 8, I could "fly" anytime I wanted and it became easy to leave my body. Now I am 34 and I still "fly" though it is a bit harder than when I was a child.

My experience was a strange one because i literally can feel that somehow my soul is detaching from my physical body like the warmth in my vein slowly getting colder, it felt like when you slowly rip off a tape from a paper, it's not painful but bizarre feeling of being detached... i also felt like my physical body is sinking in the bed while my other self feels like getting up slowly feeling the detachment sensation.. I also heard whispering noises growing from softest to loudest like noises from underneath the water.. It's a really strange and weird experience.. It's fascinating..

Years ago my then-girlfriend told me that during our sleep she came out of her body- horizontal- and floated about 2 or 3 foot above herself but couldn't get back. She called to me- freaking out- as I lay sleeping next to her and she said I sat up, the top half of me out of my body and grabbed her by the arm and gently pulled her back into her body. I can't remember any of this but she swears it's true and I believe her.

I was right into attempting Astral Projection when I was young. A couple of times while trying I heard noises, like snapping but it went no further, apparently hearing noises can be a thing. When I was going through my senior school exams I was stressed, being a lazy student I had to cram like crazy only getting three hours sleep a night. One night I layed down and felt myself projecting out of my body, like a rush, I jumped up to stop it. I was annoyed because I needed to focus on my exams. I haven't tried again but would like too.
