Should You Use Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling? And How to Enable or Disable!

Hardware-accelerated GPU schedule is pretty complicated to explain.. but I try to simplify Hardware-accelerated gpu scheduling for you and if it's something you should turn on, on your system! I also run test to compare HAGS on vs off.

Balanced hardware - leave it off
Strong CPU, Weak GPU - Leave it Off
Weak CPU, Strong GPU - Turn it On

Note to anyone having stuttering issues with VR games with the game in focus.
This option is what's killing it and windows 11 has it turned on automatically.
GPU scheduling is a nightmare for VR.

This is a very interesting information.. And intuitive too.. So that means if I just cap my fps and never be CPU or GPU bound, it won't really matter huh..

Worked great for me. Minecraft and Blender work much faster now. When it was turned off, stuff would stutter sometimes. My render distance had to be decreased and Blender was a bit slow. Now I can keep my render distance at 40 chunks and Blender is faster, even in rendered view.

HAGS is responsible for Crashes if you use VR.
Also with HAGS on, some Games like AC Valhalla, Rise of the Tomb Raider, NfS Heat, FIFA 22, Tekken 7, Borderlands 3 (DX12) and some more, causes a crash to desktop with "The description for Event ID 0 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found" and "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

It's better to keep it off.

Dammmm I'm glad I remembered this function and found material like this video, I was having stuttering and massive FPS drop on Uncharted, this function was enabled here a long time I guess, I turned off and basically resolved the sudden fps drop, are you kidding me, I bet many people (like me) have this enabled but forget about it and having some issues in some games 🤦🏻‍♂ I hate this world of hardware sometimes 😅
