I was born and raised in Seattle. When I left in 1999, it was the beautiful city I’d always known. When I came back in 2022, I didn’t recognize all the places I’d spent my youth roaming. Nearby towns that were calm and peaceful now have people wandering around that appear to be looking for the next fix. It’s criminal what the the liberal government of Seattle has done. Back in the 70s and 80s there were a lot of droughts in California and many thousands moved up to Oregon and Washington. They brought their politics with them. As the cost of housing/ living rose and further droughts occurred in many years, the wave continued. Now the whole west coast is devastation of bizarre policies that almost seemed designed to cause rapid decline. Ruined on purpose in just a few years. Crime, violence, drugs. And apparently there are still people wanting to vote for the people responsible.
