They're also great fun to handle. Just be aware that until recently they were thought to be the fastest spider so odds are that they'll end up on your back at some point. It's shocking how under appreciated they are because they're so common. They're so much fun to watch.

House Spiders are my one fear, which is hilarious considering I own T's and Loxoscoles Laeta's, I think over time finding them while I was in bed etc and jumpscaring me conditioned me to be freaked out when I saw them haha.

They're beautiful to see from far away and contained, but like any Spider I own, I'd prefer if I didn't find one in my bed at 3am crawling on me ;)


As for the Name, with the Game of Thrones theme I think Arya would be fitting! With a strike like that she's a lil' assassin!

That a big for us in Canada. The only big spiders we have are wolf spiders and dock spiders

If you find one in the right mood they can be very chill, I've found them and picked them up and just had them sit on my hand, occasionally wandering about and investigating. If you find one in the bath give it a drop of water before putting it outside cos it might be thirsty.

Can these live outside in the Winter? I've found a female and don't want her to die. The weather is below freezing now & she's under a throw blanket in a outdoor patio chair

I love that these guys hold the record for fastest spider, just because I don’t think of uk wildlife as record breaking usually. (I know they’re found elsewhere besides the uk)

You should give her some more anchor points for the web like cork bark and some sticks, shell make cool tunnels through them :)
