In other words you will have problems regardless... making a choice allows you to choose your problem... rather than letting another individual or just chance to make that choice for you... But there will always be a problem regardless of which choice you make... You just want to choose the best case scenario that works for you...

This man, has become one of my thought leaders, and I am eternally grateful. The situation he just described has confronted me so many times in the past five years, not to mention in my former life, but moreso recently and I've made risky decisions on the belief that I MUST. It has to be done. There is no question about it. Certainly, I question myself every time, but that seems necessary. However the decision is necessary, too. Jordan Peterson's outlook continues to give me the strength to make those decisions, with the belief that I will endure the consequences and proceed, stronger for it. These days, I believe "jumping without a chute" is the only true way to grow as a human being. There are too many safety nets; forsake them, and find yourself.
