Disabled person here! You explained it really well, stealing a mobility device is like slashing someone's hamstrings. I have a mobility assistance dog, and I tell people that distracting him by petting him or grabbing his harness is like kicking me in the back of the knees.

Story 1: Tanya is TA for sure. But can we talk about OP'S mom for a second here? She just blindly believes Tanya and got mad at OP for taking Midge back. The mom chose to believe someone who isn't their kid and gets mad at their own kid? Garbage mom, seriously. I know they made up, but seriously, bad move there.

First Story, NTA: THEY stole the cat and all OP did was take the cat back. OP could’ve flat out pressed charges against them for stealing OP's pet. Tanya is insane and the rest that is defending Tanya are insane. Wooow, these cops are useless; OP provided proof of ownership and won’t do nothing regarding the obvious theft? Uncle, Aunt, and Tanya are horrible people. Ohhhh that ending was satisfying. Glad OP got their cat back; the landlord came in clutch with that security cam.

Second Story, NTA: So they don’t want OP to be MOH because she got a divorce and John's PARENTS have an issue? Wow, that is so messed up and honestly, I’d skip the wedding entirely. I’m soooo glad Stella saw the red flag that this guy is and called off the entire wedding. Lmaooo thats a first, OP didn’t give a damn and posted his real name 😂

Third Story: Wow, that amount of debt is insanity. $250K?! And she wants to go back to college too? Honestly, I don’t know what she could do to help with this. That sucks OP had to break up with his gf but that amount of debt would affect OP in the long run

Story 1: It's a good thing reddit told op to microchip Midge in case they (stupidly) try again. I'm honestly surprised and angry that they didn't cave in and give Midge back after the grandma wrote the entire family out of the will. Since its a AITA story, OP is a massive NTA.

The last story sounds devastating to me. I agree, to have 250k debt for the degree that doesn't even provide you with a profession to pay it off... That sounds both absurd and extremely scary.

Keith (Jon) sounds like those people we read/hear about that instead of getting a divorce, they would just wipe it off and make everything disappear and start anew, like nothing happens. Good for OP and Stella, to rid off that walking red flag

*First OP:* I know OP said she resolved things with her mom, but I hope she (mom) along with OP's dad and brother apologized afterwards. This would've been grounds for going no contact. Also, OP was NTA.

Op got her cat back, the entire family hates the spoiled cousin and her a**hole family, and grandma wrote them out of her will.

I'm grateful that I've never understood the mentality, outside of purely mercenary profit motive theft, of stealing a pet from someone. It just feels like some form of sociopathy to me.

I am so tired of reading a “John Wick” titled story and hearing something rational, and not hearing someone murdering a bunch of people to get their pet back.

The last story is heartbreaking. I hate to see an in love couple separate because the US school system is a scam. I would recommend sitting down with a financial planner to see if there’s a way you can consolidate the private loans into federal loans if she goes back to school which get forgiven after 20 years of income based payments. There’s tax consequences to it but I hope they can figure it out. It’s not like she was a shopaholic, she just got an education

First story: I wonder with pure horror if people who's seen this story found Tayna's social media. Even after this whole mess got dealt with, no doubt personal people on her life and casual lurkers must've put the dots together and slammed her for her behavior and horrendous crime. Like, how messed up is it to congratulate someone for getting a cat and not a few days later hear "oh yeah no, she STOLE that cat from a family member and went to court over it."- That has got to have blown up on her.
