Volvo XC40 (2019-2024): How To Check Engine Oil Level?

In this video, we will show how to check the engine oil level in the 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 Volvo XC40.

The Volvo XC40 does not have a physical dipstick. Instead, it uses the electronic oil level sensor. You can check the current oil level by opening the Car Status application and pressing the Status button in the center display.

After adding or replacing oil in your Volvo, the XC40 needs to be driven for about 30 km (20 miles), after which it needs to be stationary for 5 minutes with the engine turned off and on level ground before the oil level indication is correct.

Engine Oil Type: 0W-20.
