The Power of Influence Handling! You are always training your dog!!!

So much of our dog training program evolves around Influence handling, which occurs in the wild dog pack! The pack does not have the training aids that humans use, they learn through observation and influence of the other dogs. We influence the dogs to do exactly what we them to do with our body posture, directional movement and positive energy! My Dad taught this 10 month old Golden Retriever puppy to swim by getting in the boat and moving away from him. The puppy is so bonded with my dad because of the positive association in our training program, he just couldn’t stand not to follow him into the water. There were no formal commands given to the dog, no pressure, just a lot of praise when he started to swim! You are always influencing your dogs folks, you are always training and you should always keep it upbeat and be patient!
