A hint that your uvc light is working

Do this at your own risk. UVC light can damage your eyes and skin. Some units emit ozone even though they are not so labelled. Do not breathe in the ozone gas as it is a pollutant. Let the air settle down for an hour or two before entering the disinfection area.
Uvc light can irradiate and kill microbes on the surfaces of most materials. It does have its limitations as the light cannot go around corners and reach the backside of the materials you want to disinfect. For a weaker lamp, you might have to wait a few hours after irradiation before you see the browning effect on the bananas.

I bet you had no idea how many people your video would inspire and help. Figuring out which is true UVC and which is not has proven extremely difficult and expensive. You came along with an ultra simple test not involving expensive meters and it is enough proof for me. Thank you and I hope you are safe sir.

As I know, regular aluminum foil will not bounce the UVC, but the box is a good idea to keep O3 inside until it disappears into air.

That's AWESOME I use a UVC with ozone lamp to irradiate everything and I was noticing my bananas were going a weird brown BUT it was over a day or so. This certainly explains what was happening. You don't mention it but my bananas definitely go more brown over time.

Also I was sent her by BigClive who used this test as "proof" that a light is UVC.

Does the this test just indicate general UV, or does it specfically reveal the presence of UV-C . . ? 
By that I mean, if you bought a light as a germicidal UVC light, but it was only outputting UVA and/or UVB (so is not germicidal) would this test reveal that ?
