DANG you convinced me! I've been thinking of spending some time in Arizona/sedona next winter and where you live sounds awesome too. I'll bring my bike and we can bike up Mt Lemon together!!

Perfect timing for this video to come out! I'm planning on moving to Arizona at the end of the season here in Michigan. I'm pursuing YouTube, writing, and martial arts!

I love the sunlight in Tucson, especially in the early morning and late afternoon. It throws a magical quality on everything. I would love to have a winter home in Ajo, Arizona. I like it rural.

I agree with the points in this video and love Tucson as well! I lived in New Mexico last year and would visit Tucson every month to escape from the boredom of the small town I lived in. Tucson is a charming and affordable bohemian town with enough to do IMO. A good town if you work at home for sure. I'm from the San Francisco area so any place that's laid back and cheap is heaven to me. No city is perfect for everyone, it's good to travel and find what fits best.

Yeah! I was so happy to see this video. I moved to Tucson a few months ago and was shocked at the cost of living and the amazing scenery. Everyone told me the desert is wasteland but honestly it's the most beautiful place I have ever lived. Everyday is like a vacation ;) and tons of vegan options!

I'm pretty stoked about Tucson after watching your video. I'm moving to Tucson at the beginning of the year and the fact that it's cheap compared to California is so awesome!

I'm originally from LA but moved to Tucson in 2011 and now live in Flagstaff (since 2014). I miss Tucson much and I hope to move back after I finish with university here. Riding in Tucson during summer sucked, but it was totally doable and I did it every day, every summer — and on a singlespeed bike — commuting to community college and back. Totally wish I had a better bike back then, but now that I do, I love Tucson even more and try and visit as often as possible.

I agree I live here in Tucson too, while the summers are brutal it's dry heat so it's not too bad. it's very cheap here, so many things to do here and great people! 🌵☀️

Moved to Tucson this April. There are times when it's really hot....like mid to late June and I get up early (6ish) to enjoy the cool weather outside til about 9. Where I'm from...Oregon...there were many days I stayed inside due to rain or grass pollen (allergic) so not an issue for me to stay inside a few weeks of the year in Tucson. This is the wettest desert on earth, I'm told by a scientist, so it's greener and kinder to agriculture than what you'd typically think. It's not for everyone, that's for sure. I couldn't afford to buy a house on the west coast--I looked everywhere--where I would have preferred to live, but I can here. I would say look for a job here first and secure one before you move, if you work in something other than healthcare. The food here is very good, I'd say. Look on the Meetup group pages to see what all there is to do here.

I am leaving NYC after ten years and will be moving to Portland, OR next month. Both cities are super vegan friendly but NYC is ridiculously expensive and I'm ready for a change. Portland is cheaper and has access to the most beautiful nature I've ever seen - forests, volcanos, mountains, the ocean, tall tall tall trees, and it's lush and green all year round. Both NYC and Portland offer amazing accessibility to culture - art, music, film, etc - and I feel that this is a very crucial element to my happiness as well, and something I fear that Tucson lacks.

I'm from London but I'm going on holiday to Tuscon on Saturday for a couple of weeks. I'll be sure to check out the vegan restaurants you mentioned, thank you!

Every time I hear Tucson, it reminds me of Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion.
Wach out Tucson, here we come! :)
Sounds like a nice place.

I don't even live in the states so I'm not sure I know what I'm talking about here BUT I've moved to another country for college (still a student right now) and I think something you might want to double check before moving alone is places where you'd be able to meet like minded people. Doesn't sound that hard but trust me, it's not easy to find real friends that you like to hang out with in a non professional setting. Hannah moved with Derek so she had it a little bit easier but be aware of that!

The desert really grows on you! First time I saw the Cochise Co. area, I thought yck! rocks dirt keep driving! We traveled the whole US and always came back here. We are glad to live where we do, in Cochise ONe of the down sides is you need to be creative about work. You Tubing would be perfect here!!
