How do I update the car's computer? If I was getting a Maintenance message or being told to change the oil, how do I respond to the computer to update it?

Also, you didn't speak about any ring or gasket that might be part of the oil plug. In older cars I've owned, it's essential to either clean or replace a gasket or brass washer that's under the oil plug. I don't know what the RAV4 has because I haven't changed the oil on my new car yet. Please respond to these 2 questions, thank you.
