I always shave just a little below my jawline. It makes my jawline look more defined. No neckbeards for me.

It’s should be somewhere in between the two. But I just usually go with the second one too.

For a beard trim you keep the lower area darker so a double chin is less visible. As silly as it sounds put your jaw down and use the 1st double chin line as a guide so it’s the most realistic while contouring the jaw to conceal the double chin. Good luck!

I actually go to fingers above the apple . This should be a matter of personal preference. Not to high but not to low

I do 2 fingers above but this technique is pretty good overall

Interesting, if you grow it out, of course one can't see the line anyways, so save the razor. Although if I planned to keep it cropped low, I would go with the 1st option.

The first one wasn’t even bad he should’ve just went a quarter less of a finger up and it would’ve looked perfect.

I believe that this should be personal preference

If you look straight on in a mirror and still see hair on your neck, it's too low. 2 fingers above the Adams apple

I like the second one that’s how it use to be idk why all the barbers going for a super clean look neck line be to dam high. Make the beard look cheesy

I had a triple level cervical done 7 years ago. When my surgeon screwed the plates and screws into my new vertebrae's he set my neck for a more down position instead of tilted back. I have a thick beard at 65 and now when I shave my beard I can't see my neck like I used too. I have to lean backwards and look extremely down with my eyes to even see it in the mirror. That with wearing reading glasses because my vision see's blurry close up I have one hell of a time with shaving and trimming my neck. The scar left a 3 inch raised skin line. I hate getting to involved with razors near it. I use trimmers with the smallest attachment at about an 1/8 inch blade. That way I won't get ingrown hairs from shaving plus the irritation from the blade. There are oils in the beard hairs and they are there to protect the skin. Leave razors off you neck.

But I think it looks better from the jawline…

You did two fingers, but it seems like you’re not doing two fingers up. You’re doing two fingers… out?
