I can see why it’s taken 4 years to finish this, since it was first announced. I’m not being sarcastic, this is phenomenal animation, hopefully it didn’t kill anyone to make it.

I love that they use the original black and white manga art style for this. They even went with the yellow subtitles, maan elder weaboos and otakus like me are crying right now. Those yellow subtitles and fonts has a significant history with the early anime being shown both online and tv during the early 2000s.

This looks absolute legit here. They faithfully followed Juni Ito San's work here. Its like the manga itself has come to life in anime form. From its intense lines to its intense expressions. So excited to see this in Halloween, and I gonna enjoy binge watching it at night.

God that lineart is making my wrist hurt and I mean that as a compliment. So much detail and it doesn't look like mush. That's wicked impressive but given how long it took those artists had to have been putting a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this. You don't bust your butt making something look this good unless its out of love for the source material.
