Based on Uzumaki (うずまき, lit. 'Spiral') a Japanese horror manga series written and illustrated by Junji Ito.

At 2019's Crunchyroll Expo, a 4-episode anime television series adaptation was announced. The anime will be directed by Hiroshi Nagahama, with Colin Stetson composing music. The series is set to premiere in Japanese with English subtitles on September 29, 2024, and its English dub is set to premiere on October 4 of the same year.

Episode 2 was some of the craziest stuff I've seen in anime.

But the animation was drastically worse than episode 1. It was just not passable

The curse of the production was real. The second episode was made by a different studio and a different director. Allegedly, this new director is someone who is blacklisted from the industry and the animation was outsourced to 8 different studios for this episode.
The quality drop was staggering.

Waiting for episode 2 and i have to say as a fan of the manga, im a little nervous what theyre going to do with this episode. Now that im re reading the manga i can see just how much is cut and changed so its a bit of a worry how the rest of its going to go
