Emma Thomson has always been one of my favourite actresses, ever since The Remains of the Day in the early 90s. I've always had tremendous respect for Emma Thompson not only for her brilliant acting skills but also as a person. Watching this video catapulted my respect for her. The advice about actresses challenging the reason why they should be skinny and model-like was pure gold! Hollywood and the film industry in general needs to hire more actors and less models (most of whom can't act). The pressure to "look good" drives too many actors (men & women included) to focus on plastic surgery, unhealthy diets and obsessive exercise regimens rather than develop their craft. Go Emma!
