Becoming Guitar Mastery Method Lifetime member, taking Lead Guitar after 50 and Lead Guitar for Life and 10-week fretboard Course, was the absolutely best thing i did for my journey. Had only took some private lessons and tried to learn myself. Just too slow and erratic. 10-week Fretboard Course and really learning it was GOLD. Opened my eyes and made everything make darn sense. Eddie is the best.

The problem with the ring finger is caused by the tendon of the ring finger being in a sheath that's shared by the pinkie tendon. There is a bit of friction there, requiring more effort to overcome. This exercise is great! The practice routine will loosen the grip of the sheath so it becomes easier to move the ring finger independently of the pinkie..Thanks for showing this lesson Eddie,

I do this exact exercise as a warm-up at the beginning of every practice session just to keep the flexibility in individual fingers. 20-30 reps per finger.

This is really great... I have an old football injury to my fret hand pinky... it's somewhat out of place / alignment 😬 But I've put in a lot of practice to get it to be a fair bit usable and less unruly. My ring finger though is next on my list as a "problem child" haha... there are definitely fewer lessons / exercises out there dedicated to this forgotten finger, so this is really helpful - thanks !

Same for my ring finger it feels slightly detached mentally compared to the other fingers.
