German breakfast is done before you know you are hungry.
Vietnamese food is made before you are hungry because you know you will be hungry and you have to start at 2AM so the food can be ready by the time the german wakes up and makes his breakfast in a minute.

This is so true. I am British married to a Thai woman and I can take 5 or 10 minutes to prepare my meal, but my wife can take 3 or 4 hours or more sometimes. Even breakfast for her can be 2 hours of preparation while I have beans on toast in 3 minutes. It’s lovely to see your life together. I wish you both happiness

German meal- just eat bread 🍞 with something. That's the German cuisine 😅
Asians preparing raw material into crafted cooked food. Bread 🍞 is never a complete meal for them. Maybe it's just a snack.

I think it’s important to keep in mind that the meals Uyen is making are prepared more “from scratch” while the meal depicted here for German boyfriend was made using food that has more “pre-prepared” components. If German boyfriend’s food was made starting from scratch each time it would be a different story.

Maybe because in asia they have more time to eat? In the netherlands I just ate something while still working because it's more efficient. Not saying it's better. Wish we had the time to prepare a nice meal from time to time.
