After using T-Mobile Home Internet for a few months now I wanted to talk about my experience with the Arcadyan KVD21 gateway, review how it's worked for me, and talk about the improvements and upgrades needed for their gateways to really be a true internet service provider competitor. I will also be making a separate video reviewing the entire T-Mobile Home Internet service as a whole.

So I can't connect a wireless wifi extender

I had to return the tmobile cylinder trash can they just sent me because it wouldn't connect to the towers. My area recently just transitioned to 5g (past 2 months). I called because my latency was fluctuating like crazy, which I had the old 4g white box and they told me it was "ancient" 😂. This model is supposed to arrive today, hopefully it holds a connection 🤞

After burning through 3 Nokia trash can modems I finally talked T Mobile customer service into sending me this unit. It has run for 3 weeks straight with absolutely no issues. I only get 2-3 bars but the speeds are decent. It's nice not having to restart the modem 3-4 times a day like I had to with the Nokia.

they need port forwarding option because this thing blocks xbox when you try to get an open nat type.

Yes! I want bridge mode and more control like turning off SIP ALG, DHCP, or assigning static ips. I don’t see any any alternative routers that I can use to get rid of this thing. I might be canceling soon.

I just swapped my Nokia trash can for the new gateway. My connection and speeds are already better. My Nokia was constantly disconnecting the last two weeks and T Mobile swapped me to the new one for free.

I have a tmobile noika 5g21 round box. It does lte or 5G. My cell phone says it's using wifi6. I'm rural and the wifi works for 100+ feet from the use.

Yes I have to frequently turn it off then unplug it, wait a minute, plug it in and turn it on.

In the evenings, download speeds frequently drop to around 5Mbps. But a couple of weekends ago they upgrade the tower (yet) again and evening speed is low 100Mbps at 7:50pm. Yay!

Does anyone have this unit and still have to turn it off and on all the time during the all hours of the day? I lose internet connection like every 15 minutes and have to reboot all my devices back to the wifi.

So what I'm hearing is, it doesn't have settings that allow you to secure your gaming console to have a proper NAT type. A friend of mine keeps getting kicked over to NAT3 and now they can't join online games

I called T mobile today, he quoted me $50, this modem, and Unlimited always, I said I will take it, Then he " double checked" with his technical department, and offered me $50, 100Gb -throttled, It sure felt like a bait and switch! I said I need to see how much data I am currently using before I can commit to 100GB. That sucked.

It needs more cowbell(ethernet ports) or hook up of a gigabit switch with no nat mapping problems..
