Thank you for this! The Arcadyan went live yesterday afternoon and received the 1.00.16 update overnight. It has been solid with 5 bars and averaging 150+ download/35-50 upload. The radio is now off. I am using my ORBI6 within to connect all my devices.

Thanks for the step by step video. This helped me alter another setting. My old tablet failed to work with WPA2/WAP3 encryptionversion.
I modified this setting and set the value as WPA2. Now my android tablet works just fine. Thanks again!

I wanted to change my SSID to one with a space in it. The T Mobile app would not allow it, but I followed the video carefully, and it worked like a charm. Saved me from having to reconnect dozens of devices.

Be careful about syntax and using the correct admin password, and it should work for you!

Received the Arc KVD21 Tuesday (2/15) and right out of the box I am seeing huge increase in UL and DL compared to Spectrum. Showing 450 Down 50 up. By using the URL you provided it shows connected to B2 and N41

Thank you so much! BUT I think there may need to be more information made By the way, I had to use this "harder" method to gain access to make changes. The "new easy method" would not work for me. ALSO, I turned "off" the wifi on both bands (at the "is radio enabled" line), BUT the RF/radio was NOT turned off, therefore the wifi technically is NOT off in my experience. (Yes, the SSID was no longer broadcast.) I proved this with my RF/EMF meter with a before and after observation. I was able to change the transmission power down to 12% on both bands and I believe the radio/wifi is much weaker now evidenced by my RF readings. I wish there was a way to completely turn off the radio/RF output as I need to eliminate unnecessary EMFs in my house. For those truly looking to turn "off" the wifi/radio/RF output on this router, it doesn't seem possible, though you can turn down the transmission power to 12%. Please let me know if you observed the same or found a way to completely turn off the RF. Thanks again for the helpful videos!

Thank you so much for this. Since there is not a firewall built in or included in the gateway I ran a port scan and found out it is WIDE OPEN!!! Now I can turn off the built in wifi and use a dedicated firewall and my Asus mesh wifi router and I can rest easier knowing that my home network is now secure.

No matter what I try, it is not giving me a key through the first command. I've tried my wifi password and the administrative password plus the password on the bottom of the gateway and nothing is working.

@Nater Tater I have a question for you I'm getting ready to open an account with T-Mobile and included will be 2 home internet lines. The salesman has the Nokias in stock and wants to give those to us. In you opinion should I ask for the newer ARC KVD21 instead to make the deal? Or will they both service? I live out in the country and will be hitting the B71 tower 6 miles away as per the CellMapper site. I'm having problems other than your channel finding comparisons. I'll be set up kind of like your setup as well with the modem plugged into a Asus WIFI router where I'll be running all devices through a VPN. Thanks for any info you can provide!

Great video! Worked perfect for me. Question for you. I have the T-mobile KVD21 as well as a GL-A1300 travel router. The A1300 does NOT have the ability to use DFS(Dynamic Frequency Selection) but the KVD21 does. This is an issue because if I use the GL-A1300 as a repeater, the wifi connection gets lost when the KVD21 switches to a DFS Channel. I could use the 2.4g channels for connection but that reduces my download speeds dramatically. My question is: Do you know of a way to disable DFS on the KVD21 or what specifically I can do to force a range of channels to use on it? I'd even be happy to just select a single channel but I'm not in favor of bricking the KVD21 if I set something up incorrectly. Any help would be awesome. I know this is an issue for people with Roku devices as well.

Question: I just started using the Arcadyan KVD21 and I've happy with the speeds I'm getting (Full bars and getting 325-410 down/61-68 up over Wifi) but I am wanting to get a Wifi extender in order to carry these speeds to other parts of my house, like downstairs. Have you had any experience with using an extender with these gateways? Thanks

Thanks for the instructions. I am hoping this will solve some problems I am having with a few devices since changing from AT&T. My garage door opener and my home security both seem to be incompatible with the KVD21. Guessing a port issue. I tried adding a second router and the garage door opener will connect but fails saying no internet. Going to give turning off the KVD21 wifi and see if that takes care of the issue. Keep up the great work!
