I really have to say something, There is a tool called a rake, the T2 one was on the table near the pick and shovel you bought, you could use the rake to make perfect 1m blocks of snow for a staircase, it's also great for levelling the top of the claim out to place buildings properly without having to get a concrete block for a foundation., it was like the first thing I found that I didn't see in a youtube video.
Also, bring the crane to forge heavy harvester or drill, you'll need it, i had to go and buy the crane after i found out why its called a "heavy" harvester and drill

Roboticaust is a legend. Helped me find my lava digger after it got yeeted due to being recalled on top of another vehicle. Took us a solid half hour.

Don't forget that the ice you'll be drilling to get water, falls with gravity.. so you can hav it mining at the surface, and it could fall into the melter at the bottom where your machines are

Robiticaust should be added as an NPC, you go to him and scroll through a list of items you have previously interacted with and he tell you "Hmm, try looking between X and Y." The list should exclude items in your vehicles and placed structures (a placed drill stops being an item). If there are multiple of an item, he should say: "Ah, I saw 5 between X and Y. Plus 2 more in Z Town."

This is one of those games where it takes so long to do anything, that it takes some of the enjoyment out of the game. But watching Matt play it, nicely cut and edited by Schmichael, makes it a lot of fun 😂

I am so thankful for this series because as much as I love factory automation games, I will never ever EVER play Hydroneer due to just how long it must take to do anything whatsoever. Having to place pipes and belts one tile at a time would drive me absolutely insane. Fortunately, I don't have to!

Tips on how to use the flamethrower (apart from randomly tunneling in the most fun yet inefficient way possible):
1) Park the steamroller on your claim
2) Use the flamethrower to melt the snow behind the steamroller to the depth of approximately half the height of said steamroller
3) Reverse the steamroller in the hole while the roller is up
4) Lower the roller and see the snow neatly and magically flatten down
5) ???
6) Profit👍
