I used to work on towers, and I’ve been in many lifts. 80’ lifts sway a good bit, once you get up to a 120’ they sway a lot, and then the biggest lifts are 180/185’ and man those sway A LOT. Like 15 feet side to side. If you touch the joystick to boom left or right at full height you will fly like 10-15’ and it’s terrifying. Also if you spend all day up on a manlift and then go to bed shortly after, it feels like you’re on a boat swaying in the ocean. A very weird feeling.

That was great. I enjoy the commentary. In the UK we call those lifts MEWP's - mobile elevated work platform, and it doesn't have to be windy, just moving around as you work causes swaying that's kinda like being on a boat. And like being on a boat, some people get seasick and can't work on them, others struggle with fear of heights. So those of us that like working on them don't have much of a fight to get a go XD.

Getting used to being on a boom lift is basically the same as getting sea legs on a small boat, at first it's super unnerving but once you get used to it your legs just do all the work while it wobbles

I was cutting trees in a man lift for 6 hours. When I came home I got in the shower when I closed my eyes I lost my balance and almost fell. Crazy man
