“ If you can say one Super Bowl that was decided in one play this is it”

Súper bowl 49: hold my beer

The 1990 49ers should be on here. 14-2 team going for the three peat as two time defending champions. They lost to the Giants in the NFC Championship Game 15-13. A game where they didn't give up a TD, lost Joe Montana to injury, and Roger Craig fumbled the ball when they were trying to run out the clock. That team was far better than a lot of teams on this list.

Still blows my mind that Eli Manning was the patriots kryptonite in both of those superbowls. Insane

When I think about that 84 Dolphins team, and how they just missed out on that championship because Ray Finkle missed that chip shot, just burns me up inside.

1976 Steelers. As everyone knows, they were known for their defense in the 70's and won 4 Super Bowls because of it. However, the 76' team was the best defense. They started the year 1-4 after Bradshaw got hurt. After that, they went on a 9 game winning streak. 5 of those victories were shutouts. They only allowed 28 combined points in that 9 week span. Their starting defense also had 8 Pro Bowlers that year and 4 future HOFers. They are at least the best defense to not win a Super Bowl

1986 Chicago Bears were 14-2; they were really a great extension of the '85 Bears and still had such a killer defense and a good offense and were really beat down by an extremely physical Washington Redskins team in the divisional playoffs.

The 2006 Chargers Team. LaDainian Tomlinson 30 td season. Philip Rivers Antonio Gates wide receivers, special teams, defense, linebackers!! they had it all!! They had the Patriots crushed in the playoffs and played like crap in the second-half let Tom Brady win by three at the buzzer. I would put that Chargers team up against any other team in history.

A team no one ever talks about. Not even Dallas fans or media. The 1968 Cowboys. They finished 12-2, ranked on offense (#1 yards, #1 scoring) and defense (#4 yards, #2 scoring). They had a +23 turnover ratio and they outscored their opponents by an average of over 17 points. Some of the best team numbers in franchise history.
They lost in the divisional round of the playoffs to Cleveland.

What people seem to forget about the '07 Pats is that they faced the Giants in the final week of the regular season and, while they did win, the Giants sure put the fear of God into them! The Giants had been the most effective team against the Patriots all season and just seemed to line up perfectly against them. I remember saying after that game that the Giants were the one team that the Patriots were dreading to play a second time and sure enough, they were dreading it!

They didn't make it to the SB but it's still a damn pity that 06' Chargers didn't win it

I am surprised none of the elite Manning Colts teams are on the list, like 2004 or 2009.

The 2009 colts started 14-0 and only lost when they rested there starters. They should be on this list

Love how Dan Fouts said that Kenny Anderson was throwing nice tight spirals during the 1981 AFCCG then NFL Films shows anything but a nice tight spiral from Anderson.

Whenever Ray Didinger shows up on one of these shows, I just think, "Oh dang... amateur hour is over."
