Thanks for the intro to this radio. I purchased it and waiting for delivery, on the recommendation of a fellow club member. I wanted a handheld and figured that DMR is more universal than D-Star or Fusion so here we go. Big learning curve but even at my age, new challenges are welcome.

I just bought one of these from a buddy of mine that was frustrated because it came to him in “commercial mode” and he didn’t want to mess with it. Jason, I've been away from dmr for a while. Couldn't get my Retevis RT3S to do what I wanted it to do. I've bought the 878 with the green button, it's so much better to use! Anyone considering getting this radio I don't think it will disappoint! It's operating repeaters from indoors up to about 13 miles away. Excellent radio. I decided to get it off the back of your videos, and HRCC recommending one of the older AnyTone as a EDC radio. Thanks for the videos 👌👍

Got the ham shack pack from Bridgecom, had just ordered it a couple of days before the Any Tone UV878II Plus was released. When I found out about the UV878II Plus I called Bridgecom and had them upgrade my hamshack pack with the UV878II Plus. I am just starting DMR and so far I love it, and I am liking the Any Tone radios.

I appreciate your videos, thank you for your contribution to the community. A question for you regarding DMR radios, what functions do the Anytone D878UVII Plus radio have that the BTECH DMR 6x2 does not? It looks like the Anytone does Bluetooth but what about APRS capability differences?

I recently purchase the 878 Plus and bypassed the 878II plus. I do not do APRS and I use Talker Alias. Hopefully all DMR will be like D-Star and Fusion where we will not need to update the call sign data base.
