FYI lip balm like Chapstik does a great job of making LCD scratches less visible. Just a little bit smeared along the scratch and you can hardly see the scratch.

My mate picked up a broken 65" HiSense 3D 4K TV that wouldn't power on and brought it to me. 1/2 an hour later, two resistors and 5 caps replaced and he now has a $3000 when new (2017) TV with remote!

Pretty sure the buttons on the side, up, down on volume and channel after pressing one of the other button first will allow you to navigate . It work for mine until I acquire a remote for my TV. Nice find the same. Cheer

you're right about needing that home button to get full screen, if it's on the newest firmware there might be an option in the settings to boot straight to tv. Soniq tend to use lg panels so the picture is alright

Cinavision is the crappy android on there. Don't waste your time, it's rubbish and won't run any modern apps.
We have a few at work but I always connect something else to display on them.
edit: hit the source button on the back of the tv to get rid of the advertising screen.

I scored one of these for free with the Cinavision bloatware. Plug in a USB mouse and click on the frame where your input video is for fullscreen

The other day I found a working 32" widescreen SD CRT TV near a dumpster, which was pretty sweet, I'd say, yet this guy keeps finding huge modern working TVs time and time again! :P

Mount a Raspberry Pie on the backside, hang the TV on a wall in portrait mode, and setup it up as a digital dashboard / calendar, agenda.... Just a thought :)

That wifi antenna is basically what's in the little 10cm long plastic molded ones you can get for a router or whatnot, just not encased in plastic. The wide part is one half of the dipole and is bonded to the shield, the center conductor of the coax makes up the other half.

We had these at our old work as digital signage. If they lost power they would go back to that home screen. We'd have to go around and hit an enter key to get them off that.
