I'd take that UPS, you can never have too many, and usually they just need new batteries.

Date of Manufacture: 10.10.2020... less than 6 months old!

Edit: Such shame it is broken :(.

Your dumpster room has better stuff then the thrift stores in my area!

Grab the AC adapter for the Sony speakers. Given the era it'll be built like a tank, and whisper quiet.

Finally a dumpster room find that belongs in the dumpster.

"Magnetically shielded" dates the speakers to the CRT era...

So while the stuff is in the dumpster and no one is looking at it, it's both alive and dead, but once out, its status coalesces into one or the other.

I usually check the screen with my phone light. Close enough and you can spot the cracks.

You should really start a dumpster room channel. I love these videos.

The Label on the Lenovo had a date of manufacture (2020.10.10), so quite unlikely someone would throw that out if it wasn't broken.

I'm not going soundbar, definately keeping my surround.

I still have a Sony 5.1 setup similar to the one there, mine are probably newer because the style of those you found is terrible. Sound bars are only popular because TVs don't have good speakers anymore, surround sound is still a better experience.

Soundbars are sleak but just don't compare to 5.1 setup for movies.

Business junk is a great source for parts!
Got my first laser printer from corporate garbage. It needed a new fuser and worked for years after that. Also, have not purchased new monitors in about 10 years for my work rig.
I put my old ones out on the street with a "works" note and they are gone within an hour.
Too bad yours was broken.

That monitor isn't even a year old.

We’ve got a bunch of those monitors at work and they’re quite nice for the price. I’m a sucker for the small bezels especially when you put them side by side.

I recently smashed my monitor the same as this, in about 20 mins I removed the LCD panel and now it's a super bright studio light
