Yes this worked for me, I used the theater Night as my picture preset and copied color tuner and white balance settings from rtings for my Hisense A6H series. On the theater Night mode the color balance measurements are detected as already adjusted to the best picture settings. On any other mode it balances the color to warmer tones that matches the Movie, Cinema or theater Night preset modes

The problem I have with movie and cinema mode is that it makes the picture to dark when it comes to live sports or live events it just doesn’t feel right when it’s like that for me watching movies it makes the movies look good but not with live tv.

Would using a tripod to hold the phone give better/different results? I noticed you where moving your hand a bit when holding it up to the TV. You also mentioned that it changes the warmth of the image, did you notice any brightness or other settings changing with the calibration?

This would be cool if I could use it in my ultra short throw projector. But seeing how close your holding the phone to it. I doubt this would work.

What does it to do the other modes if you alter cinema mode with it?The answer isn’t nothing because if you change to standard and go into balanced and before balancing it also puts a redder shade and then takes it away despite being balanced in cinema. Essentially it changes the white balance for the hdmi port. Also if you try to undo if it says it will remove the balancing from the port. That leads me to believe if you swap an Xbox onto the hdmi port post-balancing it will keep the port balanced.

This is fake calibration it throws the colors off and is not accurate. Thankfully it only affects the Apple 4K source. Waste of time. Get your tv professionally calibrated if you can’t do it yourself.
