I am not a tech savvy person at all. Am I understanding correctly that with a new smart TVs that includes the Apple app I will be able to easily view and listen to all of the content in my iTunes account without needing the little black Apple TV box or even needing to interface with my iMac. If so, is this for purchased Apple content only or will it include the 300 cd’s that I downloaded on my iMac into my iTunes account?

Putting in passwords is not that much hassle.... just use Remote app on your iPhone with iCloud Keychain.

The Apple TV search bar automatically connects to your iPhone for quick text input! It has been one of its best features in my opinion.

This is by far the best way to stream tv. And yes my tv provider is intergraded perfectly with the Apple TV app. I’ve been using the beta app for a few weeks now, didn’t like it at first but it’s awesome

It don’t take that long I hate Apple TV menu but once you get the idea it’s more a pattern your fingers learn like a game controller. I also have 3 and sometime 4 Appletv in my house. I remember In 2007 when the Apple TV 1 came out. At our house we were very excited. We started to step away from in 2003, it was very difficult and my wife was not really that excited about my plan to replace cable tv. In 2005 we make the cut, my wife was not a fan but was supportive to what I was doing. 2007 Apple TV 1 came out and things took a big jump in heading towards mainstream. My wife became my supporter for cutting the cord and finding new and better methods to access the networks and shows we wanted to watch. I am very excited in seeing Roku, Hulu, Netflix, Apple TV and all the new devices and networks coming out known and unknown. The only thing that seems to dampen the future is the deals like AT&T buying Directvnow and reducing networks and jacking up prices. Cord cutting all the new platform and new services like Slingtv has been fun and exciting. The interesting part of all this has been youtube. It is very amazing how few network tv shows I watch. I watch my subscriptions on YouTube. So, e of the presentation on youtube are done for a fraction of the cost a network would pay for And some of the investigation are miles ahead on network news and tv. We have witnessed the birth and the growth of a new form of entertainment and personal choices we never had before. I can’t wait to see what the next 10 years bring I only hope it brings things we never even can this of today. Sorry for the soap box chat but it just came out and I had to say how exciting to path of cord cutting has been.

My question on this has more to do with the things I've already purchase on Itunes such as movies and tv series... is this app going to allow me to view that content on the new smart tv app?

I wonder why they could'nt pull content from Prime Video, HULU and Netflix it would be in there mutual interest to do so.
