Excellent video! I love your "no b.s." style, it shows beginners that fly fishing really isn't all that daunting to start out. Keep up the great work!

Such an interesting series. Thank you for your practical approach and your white board. I have finished 1- 6 looking forward to the rest this evening. Your instructional approach if easy to follow and covers the bases. Thank you for sharing your experience and expertise. Brand new to the fly fishing sport.

I have to commend you guys. This series is fantastic! I am brand new to this and I have learned a ton from the first few videos. I also feel confident in my understanding of the subject so far. Great teaching. Job well done!

I’m loving it! Haven’t fly fished in over 20 years. Getting back into it so I can teach and go with my boys when they’re old enough, but a little overwhelmed. This series has been great! Subscribed and will soon be ordering!

Definitely beginner here, having fun, really enjoying the series.
Who knew! There was so much?
Not complicated but intresting and a great teacher. I'm just soaking it up like the sun while out on the water.

Well I am an idiot. I didn't realize when I was trying to practice casting that there was NO fly line on my reel. There is backing and a leader. Well I got to where I can cast the backing about thirty feet with some pretty good accuracy. It did give me some pretty good practice on timing and the 10-1 action. Derp.

Thank you, first series that makes it easy to understand, seems to me you can make this as complicated as you like, when it doesn't need to be. An old guy said to me the other day " do you won't to know how to uncomplicate it, I've got 5 types of flies, if they don't eat these, they ain't flippin hungry" I liked this and thought I am trying to make something that should be simple far to complicated.

Thanks to these videos.
I bought my first fly rod+reel combo and, in 2 days, I've already caught 8 fish and made a nice big meal out of 4 of the aforementioned fish.
Needless to say. I am addicted to fly fishing now!

When I chose my first high dollar reel, I based my whole choice based on looks, I went with a mid arbor.
