I hate when developers are 'bad' at their game. It's more often than not a red flag for me, because if you don't understand the depth of your game, how can you make a truly fulfilling experience for other players?

Hello everyone

A lot of people got DayZ standalone for X-mass and don't have any clue what to do in the game. For those people I made my Ultimate Beginner Guide. So if you are a DayZ beginner I would highly recommend checking that out.

are they trying to make a quick cash with this game ? The Ak-47 look horrible, feel like shooting from an air gun. The zombie look pretty dumb with awkward movement, the graphic look pretty out-date for the 2013-2014 games. Doubt this game gonna be a big hit when it release.

Wow, this looks just like the Dayz mod, clunky, buggy and complete dogshit. I thought they were going to build this from an entirely new engine? This one will be a miss from me.

I REALLY love idea of being able to fire from the hip whilst moving in the standalone. This gives you a chance to run back for cover facing your enemy, while you spray round at them.

I got the alpha of standalone on steam. Aside from a lot of glitches it is a fairly complete game. For 30$ you can't go wrong. It is still very very fun. And they just released a patch and now we have .357 Revolvers. They're awesome.

There are so many great things I can say about this 11 minute video I just saw. One of the biggest is the ability to go into many more buildings. That's one problem I hated in the dayz mod was the lack of buildings you could enter. This increases the chance of finding loot rather than entering empty buildings. I also love the new jump ability. Always wondered why jump was disabled in dayz mod. Crafting seems fantastic, zombie animations need work, but seem great. I also love the new interface.

Not only that, but many new features have been added to the game that I never thought about. Items are easier to pick up, more enter-able buildings, sprint-crouching and much, much more! I don't know about you, but this, even in it's early stages, is far more than I expected, and I can't wait until it's released.

The reason people seem to dislike this video is because they say that it looks bad and blah blah blah. I found that the videos in which Dean Hall plays have tons of likes and it shows because he is much better with interviews and even makes fun of his own bugs! Which he is going to fix he promises. Changing weapons while moving is the most important thing for me. having to stop and take 5 minutes to pull out a pistol is like a guaranteed death
