Abrams tanks being high maintence is part of the whole package, high tech performance. The turbine engine is commonly tuned for jet fuel but it can be tuned to run on, but not limited to, diesel, gasoline, or marine diesel, I would not be surprised if it could be tuned to run on alcohol.

3:15 about top down command structure, you should listen to "Buran 30" intercepted live communication from the combat zone from the early days of Invasion. I basically listened 16 hrs a day. One day you had the command centre calling for buran-30 for 4-5 hours only for buran, really distressed, responding crying and shouting over the radio about taking heavy losses and artillery shells, calling for air support for hours but nothing comes. Buran-30 along with a dozen other comrade call-signs are most probably KIA from what I heard of the communications. The community created a diagram of the top down structure with all the call-signs. Buran-30 lore is legendary. You had thousands of people listening every day for updates about buran. You had people knowing Russian language translating almost real-time, i think we even pinpointed the location at some point

What about the Brit's Challenger 2? Small in number they may be, but they can also mop up anything the Russians throw at it.

The abrams doesn't need jet fuel. It will run on anything. Oil, gasoline, diesel, cooking oil, vodka, whatever you have

One lesson I believe we all can take from this war is it is suboptimal to go all in on quantity or on quality. Sustaining combined force operations over the long term requires a blend of both...

Your forgetting the UK tanks which we were the first to confirm them, the first to sent armoured vehicles first for MLRS first for long range weapons ect

Don't forget we have gave alot and continue to do so

We trained 10k troops and will train 20k this year

Training them to use challengers, training them to fly western jets

Challenger 2s have better armour than Leopards, Challenger 1s too; but we need to send far more to make them logistically viable. There are several hundreds of Challenger 1s that could go to Ukraine and would entirely outclass any Russian armour in theatre. (Just for the record... we - the UK - invented the armour that the US uses on Abrams tanks 👍)

As you mentionned giving tanks without air capabilities will be way less effective. we are loosing very valuable ressources (for us and ukraine) by not giving ukraine the planes they need.

Hey Infographics, the Abrams gets the best gas mileage with jet fuel but can use pretty much any flammable liquid in its turbine.
