I love this character who plays Jesus, the Christ, the Mesaiah. He is very down to earth and just like us. I feel close to him, like he is my friend here on earth.

Blasphemous series that undermines the deity of Jesus. Jesus is The Word! He would have known how to humbly ask her for a drink without having to say sorry and change His statement. He knew exactly what to say at the Sermon on the Mount without help from Matthew. He wouldn't have needed encouragement from Mary either.

"I'm here to break those barriers" sounds like ecumenism. And considering that many denominations idolize this show, the ecumenism is working.
