Why is the woman at the well so important? (The Chosen in Israel)

We knew before we started writing that Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman at the well would be the climax of Season One.

The story has so many beautiful layers, and Dallas and Rabbi Jason explored them at the actual location in Israel.

What's more amazing is that this woman was rejected in her community, and yet when she goes back to claim she had seen Messiah, everybody believed her. That's the power of holy Spirit!

When she said she was rejected by others and Jesus just looked at her and said “I know. But not by the Messiah” I felt that to the core of my soul.

Honestly, everything is AMAZING. JESUS is the only way, the truth and the light.

Vanessa Desilvio plays the part of the "woman at the well" perfectly. Just see her facial expressions the transformation from deep pain of rejection to one of curiosity, then hope and finally jubilation.

This is my favorite scene. I can feel her joy knowing he is the savior and that he came there just for her. Knowing you matter to the maker is such a joy, no wonder she was skipping with joy.

The first evangelist of the Gospel was a woman, was sexually impure, was of the wrong race. I LOVE THIS STORY! Also, she was the first to hear Him say, "I am He." ❤🙋❤ I LOVE THIS!

what really touched me about this scene was when Jesus named her husbands and the circumstances of her marriages. Just showed how god not only sees our sin but sees the circumstances of it. He knows us personally and Jesus could understand our human emotions.

I love this series of the Chosen, very beautifully scripted, acted, produced, awesome. One more thing the way all the characters are speaking so sweetly. I really love every word spoken and every episode of season one

He is still doing this today. The testimonies I have read of people from all around the world, Muslims, women, people from no religious background etc. How He breaks barriers to reach out to people everywhere. I am one of those people. This scene made me cry so much!

One in Yeshua’s Olive Tree. Jew and Gentile . One New Man, living together as brothers in Christ, in love, his law! Graft me in!

Jesus doesn’t see labels. He looks into the heart. The Chosen is reading across the globe because it speaks to people's need. To be seen, known and loved.
Can you imagine how the world would change if we could try to see people as Jesus does?  He sees into our hearts and says that it doesn’t matter where we are from or what we have done.  He loves us. But only He can pierce our divided hearts and help us to love as He loves us all.

This scene touches the core of so many ancient and modern divisions, and breaks down those walls. Jesus came to unite His body. He came to show that there is not one race or gender greater than or less than. His love flows freely for all who will receive. And no matter what hidden regrets we might have we are made clean through His grace!

The first time I saw him "call" this woman and tell HER that he was the Messiah I started crying. Then you had Peter reacting to the NEWS that he had told someone made me bust out laughing with joy...as tears rolled down my face.
I've never had that happen while listening to a sermon. THANK YOU FOR "SHOWING" ME JESUS !!!

This is my FAVOURITE scene of the whole season. I couldn’t stop crying. Vanessa and Jonathan had amazing chemistry. When i watched it, it literally felt like a wall came down in front of me. All of my burdens from my past life has been lifted. I felt renewed and found a purpose. “In spirit and truth” — oh how true is that! The Kingdom started right there by the well to me.

He stops and reaches out to her in the darkness of her despair, offering to draw her into a light, warmth, and life she didn't even know existed...as He does with all of us. As He longs for us to do with others...those that still languish in the darkness.

Use me, Lord. Give me Your love and compassion to see the hurt buried underneath the objections of those that don't know You. Those that have walked away from You. Help me to reach out to them, that they may draw closer to You and be healed. Saved. All for Your glory, honor, and praise. In the matchless Name of Jesus Christ I pray...Amen.

We are still fighting the same battles today. This woman wouldn't have been welcome in most of our churches because of her choices. Jesus came to break the barriers of race, gender, socioeconomics and religion. God is for everyone!

The minute I saw the woman believed, understood and accepted the truth I got chills and was in total spirit.
