Many Christians of the past were afraid of science. But in fact, for me science increases my Faith in God. The more science explains how deep and complicated the universe is, the more I believe in A Brilliant and Transcendental Mind, which is God's.

6:50 "I don't know" is a fine answer. This whole video uses arguments to answer questions relating to gaps in knowledge, but it's okay to not know things. Don't fear the unknown, embrace it.

as a new christian, I have found that just believing that there is someone out there that loves you more than you can fathom makes life feel a lot easier, when you're sad, god's there, when you accomplish something, he's proud of you, and whether you believe in god or not, knowing that somebody cares and is watching out for you makes life feel better, and knowing that god sacrificed his own just to allow you an eternal life makes me feel like I matter no matter how dark the time may be. So the mere fact that coming to god has made me mentally happier and stronger is enough proof for me that he truly is out there watching you and making sure you're safe.

I appreciate your approach in the politeness you take when talking to non Christian’s. it shows the Christian values and morals that the public should expect from a Christian. God bless.

We all need to be more understanding, welcoming, curious, and accountable for the way we choose our approach. You nailed it

C.S. Lewis’ “Mere Christianity” helped me unpack all the complexity’s behind the “moral law” argument. Every one should read that book. Even if you’re not a Christian.

I'm an atheist but subscribed. So far you seem like you are trying to argue with good faith and respect. I appreciate you work and your opinions.

Even if believing in santa can make kids behave well, it doesn’t mean santa exists.

6:42 "Do you have a better explanation" You essentially went back to the "I dont know something therefore God" argumentation . A lack of an answer doesn't make the god answer more likely.
9:14 No one would claim that because laptops are mechanical so we know from experience that humans make computers and can leave them in places. Onto your leaving computer parts bit, again your comparing biological organisms with mechanical machines. DNA and RNA do replicate and can form different life forms so this comparison doesn't work.
10:14 So micro evolution yes, macro evolution no? First does any evolutionary theory say birds can turn into dogs? Second at 10:22 "I don't see any fossil that were in the middle of evolving" this phrasing is weird because every fossil is technically a transitional fossil. Evolution doesn't require an entirely new animal often times it will be small changes. Also apparently fossilization can be pretty rare already.
10:29 "Complex and inteligent design" "Intelligent design" how many flaws are their in the human body like our feeding tube and breathing tube being the same thing which can result in choking and all kinds of genetic diseases.
10:50 "Life from non-life" The Yuri miller experiment shows that the basic building blocks of life can form in conditions similar to Earth at the time so its not impossible. Second even without that experiment what makes it impossible? Life is made up of a bunch of non-life ie chemicals.
10:54 "Evolution did start everything" The beginning of life is abiogenesis not evolution. Second "think of another time..." sorry, is your argument that because new life isn't spawning all over the earth that means abiogenesis is false. As if the only two options are no life forming and every second a new life is born?
11:58 "If the chemicals and compounds that he makes..." So essentially if it happens in a lab it requires human intervention. Second your friend just made a huge leap. Given how much time has passed with chemical bonds being formed it isn't unreasonable that something we may call life can form. Doesn't require it to be some full grown tiger or something.
Gotta go so ill finish the vid later
12:38 "Why do we think they're wrong" Because as a social species we developed empathy and can recognize that what kind of effect horrible things can have on us so we try and limit it. We can also give reasons as to why we think certain things are wrong. In the end its is human opinion on what actions we should or shouldn't do so in the end it is subjective. These aren't moral laws there are things that the majority of humans declare as wrong due to the large harm that they can cause to people.
12:58 We are animals, just because you don't like how that sounds doesn't make it false. Anyway other animals can show emapthy/morals, it may not be on the same level as humans but it is there. Murder and rape are defined as actions relating to humans so yes we wouldn't use the same terms with lions or dogs. One reason is just because we're not sure if other animals can fully understand human morality. Sure they can listen to commands if trained but thats far from having the same understanding of a human.
13:14 "Why we as people think things are wrong" Because the kinds of actions you think are right and wrong affect how you may live your life. Societies that encouraged killing members of your own group for example can find that they will have less and less people to make food or other goods.
13:22 "We can't say that what hitler did was wrong" Not objectively no, but morality again isn't objective. Many people will try to argue against what is right and wrong by looking at the reasons for actions. With the Nazi's their actions was based on the idea that they were the master race meant to save the Germany (oversimplified sure) with no evidence along with a bunch of other talking points that also had little or no evidence, and so many people will argue they had no legitimate reason to do what they did. Second, even ignoring the first point so what? You not liking not being able to say something is objectively evil doesn't suddenly make morality objective.
13:49 Again you not liking subjective morality doesn't mean its false. 13:55 And again many people will make some of the same points i made above. Also as a side note introducing a god doesn't make this problem better. Because theoretically Hitlers actions could be commanded/approved by a god. Many theists say that god is the source of good so I have to ask is something good because God commands it or does God command it because it is good. The first means that whatever is good is up to the whims of whatever this God says, in other words might makes right. The second would imply that there is some standard of goodness outside of god.
14:33 "How do we know it should stay wrong" If in the future someone managed to find some argument that convinced people that rape isn't wrong is the only way I can think of. Again subjective morality is largely dependent on what reasons/arguments people can use to support certain positions. Slave owners in the south would argue that Black people were inferior and subordinate to white people while many others argued that Black people could be just as capable as white people. This argument that things considered wrong today could be considered good in the future is just again you not liking subjective morality.
15:01 "You have a sense of right and wrong" This comes from the society someone grows up in and further back evolution. As a social species establishing certain rules/morals that result in less harm to the community increase your chance of survival so humans declare those things right or wrong.

10:10 Birds turning into dogs? Oh man... I'm not here to argue for or against God. But I simply can't stand ignorance. Guess what, people who accept the theory of evolution also don't believe in birds turning into dogs, because that's not what the theory says.

If you want to give people conversation tips, you should start with Rule #1: "Make sure you know what you're talking about or people will think you're an idiot".

I grew up as a christian, but never had a true relationship with God. I am trying to stop being lukewarm and turn to God since June of last year but I can't get rid of this doubt in my mind. One part of me says that I am right and the other says im a total idiot for trying to believe in God..but I cannot bring myself to 100% stop believing in him and I want to grow more with God. If someone could explain argument #2 more for me that would be very helpful :)

There is several problems with these arguments and the way they are presented. This might take some time, but believe me you dont want to use these arguments.
About them:
*1.a-* The universe having a beginning is different from EVERYTHING having a beggining., the universe is a state of everything, the one we find ourselves in. There was never a point where energy didnt exist, so it didnt have a beggining and since it is "before" time (if that makes sense) it doesnt need a cause (Hence the "energy cannot be created nor destroyed" law).
*1.b-* Since we already know that energy exists, adding a god to cause it would result in a violation of okham's razor.

*2.a-* Complexity does not require design, if anything it contradicts it. The very objective of desing is efficiency, meaning doing the most with THE LEAST.
*2.b-* The laptop analogy is way offtopic. A laptop is not a biological organism, hence non of the mechanisms of evolution like natural selection would aplly to it.
*2.c-* Speciation (The change from one species to another) has already been observed in a lab. What you have created are immaginary barriers like "dog" "birds" and "fish". This is not a real biological difference between animals. If an animal can change genetically so much so that it couldnt reproduce with the first one and generate fertile offspring, then biologically there is no reason to think there is a limit to how much they can change over time.
*2.d-* There was a lot of ignorance within the evolution theory showed here (not meant as an insult) first of all, the fossile record is FULL of transitional species (altho one could say every fossil is tecnically transitional). Also, there is no such thing as "in the middle of evolving". There is no end goal and there is no starting point (Beyond the start of life itself) we use species in a comparative way. The more visual example would be imagining any animal. With time, the descendants of that particular animal will present different genetic dispositions, changing their traits. At first they would be just the same but with "little tweeks". However, those descendants would also have their own, wich would variate a little bit more and the chain continues. We can agree that 1+0.001=2 is not correct, but if you keep adding 0.001 you will, eventually, reach 2. What you are presenting here is a kind of "a number turning from decimal to whole is not real" kind of argument. I understand that, at first sight, evolution can be counterintuitive. Heck, the same Darwin said so. but the evidence has reached a point to where its impossible to blatantly deny what we see infront of us. And im not just talking about the fossile record, the genetical hierarchy of living being and fossils clearly states a path for example.
*2.e-* This is kind of a detail that can be overlooked but by calling something "desing" you were already assuming a designer. Its kind of a loaded language/cincular reasoning.
*2.f-* Evolution has nothing to do with the origin of life, but with the origin of species (does that ring a bell?). What you may be trying to talk about is abiogenesis, the most supported hypotesis at the moment about the origin of life itself. I dont think im educated enough on the matter to for a formal defense of it. However, there is something to note. Unless you think god is made of self replicating nucleotides (wich shouldnt be the case) life HAS to come from non-life with or without a god. We havent observed life originating alone from non life, nor from a higher power. But we have observed aminoacid assembled in SPACE, so we do have a reason to think life could originate through natural processes.

*3-* I encougare everyone to immediately run from anyone who uses this argument in a conversation. Its not only wrong but dissingenuos and really deviates from the matter. This argument plays with the general disgust most people share for an action to make it seem like obvious and objective, but doesnt really hold any water, it just comes to show that the people who use it dont really know what morality is or how does it work.
*3.a-* Morality is by definition subjective. "Morality" is the word used to describe a person's values. If you want to talk about objective right and wrong you would be talking about ethics.
*3.b-* Ethics is something we humans invented for our societies to work, it always has an arbitrary goal and a set of rules that work as a way to get to that goal. Think of it as a board game, the goal is arbirary, there is no reason for wich a pawn couldnt move diagonally. But the way to get there is a strategic desicion that is not arbitrary.
*3.c*- You dont need objective morality to condemn Ad. Hit. We all are humans, we all want to live happily in a society, genocide doesnt help people live happily in a society, hence it is wrong. There might be people that morally agree with him, and altho we cant say they are wrong morally, we can ethically. Nothing is inherently right or wrong because those are human concepts that only make sense for us, there is no such thing in nature.
*3.d-* Its not that humans are *like* animals. We *ARE* animals. Unless you think we are plants or fungus or bacteria, there isnt much room for anything else.
*3.e-* The reason why we all (or most) share some values in common has to do with ourselves. I want to live in a safe place where i dont need to worry about any immediate danger. The only way to have that is if there is a rule that applies to all that prohibits us from killing, so i support the prohibit of murder and i dont murder. Morality is a biological tool that has served us to form the civilizations we have lived for thousands and thousands of years now.

I know its a lot but it comes to show how debunked all these arguments are. i have nothing against the idea of a "higher power", but certaintly this is *not* the way to prove it.

Dear members of the Impact community, please pray for my country the DR Congo, for over 20 years, we have been at war with a rebel group called M23 in the eastern Congo. This war has since claimed at least 10 million lives, half of them children and a lot of women were r*ped. Please pray that the Congolese people does not live in fear of this war, nor of the fear that the media or others might spread among the people but that we may remain closed in faith and to God. Pray that our soldiers never drop their weapons or flee from the front. Pray that the leaders of this country make wise decisions regarding this war, that they turn away from sinful lives they may have and turn to the Lord. And finally, to pray for the cities of Goma and Bukavu, that this war may end for good.
Thank you and God bless.

I can argue anything into existence.

Arguments are not evidence.

Example.

"SNEESNUU is a neasary condition to exist.

There for SNEESNUU exist."

"Sence SNEESNUU must exist, SNEESNUU also predates the universe. Sence SNEESNUU predates the universe, it must be the grand creator of the universe."

"Conclusion, SNEESNUU is your god, and you better worship them."

Shame god doesnt just settle the argument once and for all instead of hiding itself and watching all of its minions kill eachother over whether or not they picked the 'real' god, allah, or whatever flavour of deity you inherited

It's crazy how we spend so much time worrying about politics and wars, but we forget the most important foundation- our faith. Recently l read Your Life Your Game by Keezano, and it reminded me that trusting in God, accepting forgiveness, and living with intention are the real keys to living an abundant life, this book truly changed my life..amen🙏🏼❤️
