Thanks a lot for this. I accidentally disconnected my HDMI where my Xbox was connected to and it changed the name back to HMDI 2. Was really bugging me so this video was great. And it was concise as well which was cool.

Thanks! My HDMI 2 somehow changed itself from PS5 to Apple. I knew there had to be a way to change the name manually but couldn’t find or figure out. Mine was slightly different than this but it pointed me in the right direction and got me to a similar place. Thanks a lot for posting.

Any chance you know how to change it so that when I turn on my TV it automatically starts on my HDMI 2 for my cable TV? When I turn it on each day it starts on an LG home screen & my xfinity remote can't change that setting so I always have 2 use 2 remotes to get to my regular TV. Thanks!

Does this work with the normal remote, without the magic remote? I have a 65uq7070zue model smart tv and it only came with a normal remote, no magic remote.

Thanks for this - purchased new 2021 nano tv last week - couldn't see where to do this editing. By any chance do you know any secrets to setting up two year old LG soundbar to the TV - have tried optical and HDMI ARC - have NO SUCCESS getting sound out from BOTH TV & soundbar at the one time. (can get them to put sound out separately). My husband has a hearing disability so we really need both sources. Contacted LG "chat" line and no answer from them - it got too hard for them and they basically ended the chat with no answers. SOOO frustrating - brand new TV and can't use soundbar! Don't want to have to upgrade so soon - waste of resources!
