Often the shots between 20 and 50 yards give golfers real trouble, its not a chip, nor a full shot and this can catch some out.

This is the single greatest tip I have ever received! Not just for pitching but for ball striking but all the way through to the putting stroke!
I’m currently a 6 Handicap and usually shoot 78 to 80. Today, with this lesson comfortably understood, I shot 73 with a double bogey!!

November 2021 to January 28, 2022 I've focused on 60 degree 20, 30 40 yards shots and 54 degree 30, 40 50 yard shots combing many video's. For me, this video from Chris Ryan clicked. I'm now in control of my short game for the first time in many years. Mind you, a lot of indoor simulator practice. Can't wait till March to put practice into play.

Great lesson Chris, probably my biggest weakness, clearly you need to feel confident and commit to the shot.
My late father who played off one always said swing back four feet come through four feet, same with chipping and keep wrists passive.

Great tip. I usually duff a few of these trying to keep body rotation but not concentrating on follow through. Never seen a pitch shot described this way before. Looking forward to another handful of shots off my round!
