I bought my dad the best truck at auction and drove it home across the country. I also do my signature "every fluid and filter" service to make sure this truck will last forever.

A rust free, unmolested old GM with no engine light? A unicorn in southern Ontario.

At 71 yrs old, you remind me of myself so much. Great video. I bought, repaired and sold so many cars and trucks. It is great to see a young person so mechanically inclined and taking the time to do things the right way. I appreciate your channel

It’s refreshing to see maintenance done right, instead of leaving things to fall apart, you really care, it shows and I wish you much success. We need more people like you.

Its pretty fun to see a time lapse of 84. Much nicer than driving it.

I love how every project is easy for this guy.
He needs a sidekick that procrastinates, is accident prone and has an unhealthy addiction to energy drinks.

Waldo is the mechanic you wish you could take your vehicles to cause you know you can trust him and he’ll do a nice job.

I love that you don’t stretch out projects like this into 20 videos. You’re my favorite automotive channel by a mile!

Please do an update on your Liebherr excavator. My 5 year old son is obsessed with it and won’t stop asking.

My first time seeing your channel and I'm blown away by how well you explain things as you're doing them. I'm 75 years old and remember the days when I used to work on my cars but didn't have the tools or lift or anything. There's great satisfaction in repairing your own vehicles! Your dad is very lucky to have you for a son! God bless. I subscribed to your channel and will look forward to seeing future videos.

As a fellow New Englander myself, it's nothing short of astounding to see one of these mid 2000s Silverados in such immaculate, rust-free condition.

I'm still driving my 2002 Silverado. Kept it in mint, perfect running condition for the last 15 years. Not so much as leak or residue anywhere. Never lets me down.

I have a 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500. I basically stopped driving it in 2017 because gas prices had gotten so high. It sat parked the majority of the time for seven years. It had 197, 000 miles on it. Earlier this Spring, decided to quit neglecting it and get it back to 100%. Had to have transmission rebuilt, but I was able to replace alternator, battery and do the brakes (with help from someone with more knowledge than me). I got tires and got a good tune up. For the past three months, my daily driver and I am in love again. Granted, I just retired and mostly driving around town.

The lack of rust on the vehicle will make the bolts feel less tight than they were 👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Caught ur channel by accident, and glad I did. Watching you work was a reminder of how common sense and an easy attitude gets the job done more often than not. And you seem like a pretty capable mechanic too…nice job

Great job on this truck. The oil change and fluid levels check at the beginning of a 3000 mile drive gave this truck a chance to "blow everything out" of the engine. The complete fluids and filter service at home, plus other maintenance, is what people should do or have done when they buy a pre-owned vehicle. Of course, they need to have a pre-purchase inspection (PPI), but you seem to be able to fix anything :). You set a great example for people and their vehicles. THANK YOU!

I have had 86 vehicles so far, I am 76, and I do this maintenance routine with each. Then you know what you have.Good work Waldo!

The fact that he changes all fluids is so satisfying.

Beautiful truck. I have the 1500 version of a 2004 Silverado with the 5.3. Bought it from the original owner about two years ago. It’s about to hit 100k. California truck, no rust. It’s a great truck. I picked it up for about 12k. Much better than paying 50k for a new model.

Those are FANTASTIC trucks! They are easy, and cheap, to fix, but rarely need fixing. Mine has 260, 000 miles, and it runs like it's new. In my area, you can't go more than a half mile without seeing one of these 03, 04, or 05 silverados, in great shape, driving by.
