I have been sick for decades and they kept telling me it was depression. I work in mental health, and I am not depressed. I was finally tested for bartonella henselae and it was positive! I have had cat scratch fever for 30 years.

Lots of words to say little about simple diagnostic tools. Perhaps an editor could help you to get this 101 info in a shorter format. More info on differential diagnosis’s that rule out CFS might have been helpful. Sjogren’s was mentioned, but the crossover was not discussed. I have just found out that my Hashimoto’s can cause brain fog as well as fatigue. Do you have a screening tool that differentiates all of the similar but exclusionary diseases? I can only guess that I can have degenerative disc and bone disease in my spine only, and Hashimoto’s, past severe Lyme, mold illness and CFS. A primer on diagnostic tools should have spoken to sorting out co morbidities. I am a new fan of your lectures, so perhaps you have already done a detailed lecture on all of the conditions that look like CFS, but require different treatment. Please let me know what lecture to look up for the conditions that can coexist with CFS. Thank you for all of the time and heart that you put into educating as many as possible. You have given me a sense of agency that I have not had with these other conditions, and the peace to surrender to the energy envelope. Farm girls don’t quit until the work is done, and the work on a farm is never done! It was so refreshing to hear a doctor say that one can be bummed about the circumstances around a body that does not serve the spirit without depression being the root of the malaise. Listening to you gives me hope that I might find one key that boosts me to the next level of helping myself.
