I never had a retainer (long story already told). I wish a “permanent” retainer was mentioned when my braces were removed. However, I got my braces off in the dark ages (1974) at the age of 14. Dr. Sarah this is a very good video. I am looking forward to more! Take care everyone! 🤗🤗🤗

Hi Dr. for sharing.... I'm just starting my Invisalign journey, but do have a question about retainers. If I get a fixed retainer, will this interfere with any medical tests that I may need in the future, such as x-rays, MRI's, etc. Look forward to hearing from you!

I just got a permanent retainer on the back of all my teeth but my mom said they’re going to be on forever. . And I physically can’t take them off, what are they

Is there always a choice between fixed or removable? My orthodontist wants to fit both as 'belt and braces' as he feels there is a possibility of teeth shifting even with removable retainers. I would really prefer just to wear removable ones due to the complications of cleaning fixed bars, plaque build-up etc etc - obviously this requires greater compliance but after 18 months of invisalign I'm confident I will do as I'm told!

Hi. Dr. SARAH. need some advice. I have diastema. Midline is most visible gap.. My dr. Said he will put braces on ten teeth and leave the back two from each sides.. Is it oke. And he said my teeth will be pulled back and then he will put fixed retainers in the end.. Do u think i will have a chance of relapse even with fixed retainers.. Specially since he is applying on not all the teeth.
