I have friends from the Osaka region and have henceforth developed a preference in my brain for the dialect. Boomhauer sounds more comprehensible to me than most of the other characters. This feels wrong.

Glad to find this! I just recently learned of King of the Hill's popularity in Japan. The first thing that came to mind is how they'd handle Boomhauer's incoherent rambling, since it's the core part of his character.

It's kind of neat to know Japanese fans have "dub vs. sub" debates about American shows, as we do the other way around.

Not the same. At all. Even in the latin american dub he spoke with a somewhat cowboyish accent and fast. You could understand him but his voice still had that hyper fast feel. Also, how do you dub the BWAAAH ?
