HOW TO FIX SCROLL WHEEL AND RATTLE ON FINALMOUSE STARLIGHT-12 PHANTOM

I dunno how many times you’ve seen me and other council members go insane repeating these things over and over over and since the phantom drop, but this video is very refreshing, it’s great that someone else gets it, the only thing that is wrong is the clicker piece does have a small amount of clockwise and counterclockwise rotation, this is not bending anything or causing any negative effect, it’s purely making the scroll look better positioned visually.

I have a Finalmouse but I also have a lot of other mice that cost even more. However, the other mice are engineered in the beginning correctly where they don't have an off-centered scroll wheel, nor do they have for the most part loose innards. There isn't a mouse that I seriously use where I haven't replaced all the switches and the encoder at minimum. Finalmouse is a good mouse, but its primary niche is its collectability.

My GOAT mouse is my GPX Ultralight with heavily modded (left hair triggered) switches, replaced encoder, weight reduction and for the moment Superglides on a solid aluminum core PVC covered mouse pad.

I personally didn’t have any issues with the heat shrink on the scroll wheel, it was actually way too hard to click before and the heat shrink made it feel a lot better, while also centering the wheel. (I have the Zeus small)

Really great video, u cleared most of my doubts. But Brendan u havent touched on the ghost scrolling. Whats up with that?

I have confirmed that I have a sensor rattle 100% confirmed its sensor rattle. Is there anywhere I can find the details on fixing this?

On my copy, even with the mouse wheel original as it is, it still actives mouse3 accidentally when scrolling up. doesnt happen to scrolling down. Im thinking of either adding a washer or swap the mosue3 switch into a much higher operating force switch. Do you have any thoughts on this?

they shouldn't have this many qc issues on a $189 mouse in the first place and anyone with qc issues should get a new mouse

when playing FPS games my scroll literally just activates for no reason drives me crazy so ill go through a weapon change always the worst times. i have Medium Phantom
