The Great Commision is for the apostles, Mark 16 is the parallel passage and talks about holding snakes and drinking poison, which only apostles do.

Matthew 4 "Make you fishers of men"
Again, only for the apostles, how was Jesus supposed to garnish the trust of normal men who he's never met before? And convince them to drop everything they're doing and walk away from their livelihood to follow this random man?

When Paul says, "Imitate me, "
He's referring to his suffering and selflessness in defending the Gospel, not "Making disciples"

I believe that a true believer of Christ should spread the Gospel, but to disciple and mentor someone long-term is just another way of saying controlling, I came from an ICOC spinoff Church the International Christian Church, and it was a cult that used these exact same verses to manipulate people in obeying whatever they forced on you.

Not only is it not Biblical, but it has nothing to do with someone's salvation. A person can love God and be filled with faith for God's grace his entire life, but if he fails to make one discple, will he he condemned? Of course he won't!

Be aware of false prophets and hidden agendas people! Trust in God's timing and the spirit, and you'll be making discples the natural way with the Gospel.
