The vibrate cartoony multiplayer sandbox known as Scrap Mechanic lets you build anything your heart desires. But although the video game may appear to be bright and cheerful at the surface, aspects of the game can incredibly unsettling and obscure. Hello, I'm Jotrain and in this video, I will be uncovering the interesting and unknown facts about and found within the game, unknown to most players of Scrap Mechanic.

Is it me or are the robot voice lines funny as hell. Like instead of threatening the mechanic at first, they take a petty approach and say, “We will play our favorite songs over, and over, and over again!”

I think the hanging character may have been the old mechanic at some point but Axolot ultimately decided against adding it. This is of course dependent on whether or not the old mechanic is actually the trader

Really great and in-depth description! I knew all of the surface-level easter eggs but not the ones hidden inside the game files, which were extremely intriguing.

The unused sound effect ''water_movement_small'' is a Raft egg. It is the sound the shark makes when swimming in the water.

im surprised you didnt include the fertiliser and seed containers that are unused but fully functional, even having descriptions

also the trader asset is called questgiver in game files, so originally you werent supposed to trade with him, but to complete his quests to get stuff like the spudgun

6:50 literally the first thing I did when I realized you could add any creation to the main menu was add the replica I made of the main menu vehicle

I thought the "you are not welcome" part of the sign was obviously visible in-game. I noticed it almost straight away the first time I saw the sign.

24:39 just speculation but this if, or was at one point, a default or alternative tile used if world generation threw an error for any reason, the giant red arrow probably serves to let you see worldgen errors at a glance without scrutinizing the entire map, it's likely the product of an annoying issue that involved lots of repetitive testing to tease out and probably cut some time off of those iterations.

The robots saying "soon, we will find you" was heard in one of spycakes old videos from 2016 titled "transforming camper 1.0" where he has a highlighted clip.
