they are a very interesting game development studio

they have a very nice looking office and make it SEEM like they are bigger then they are.

if that’s the case why have they been working so slow and seemingly doing nothing?

They have a third game in the works which is probably contributing to the wait.

If this is the case they probably traded off pulling resources for the new game and are okay with the fact it would result in yet another delay for the update

most of the dev team got moved to a new game aparently... they should just hire Fant00, fant mod creator, and let him finish the game at this point... he'd move a lot faster than whoever is left "working" on it rn

It is currently September 1st, if we don't get chapter 2 by 2025 then i honestly might give up hope, and if it does release in 2025 then they are gonna have to deal with people focusing on the other major games coming out that year

I really think they're just gonna post the next "sorry we just need some more time please be patient" pic at the end of the year and then just dip for another 5 months.

It's sad to see this game die because of the devs incompetence while the community is keeping it on live support.

I can confirm that It did not come out on May 7th. I really hope it is over the summer and not next year.

It’s hilarious how bad situation is. I bought this game in middle school.. and I remember I was joke with my mate “hey dude survival will come when we will be in university” - I was damn right…

And now this. Almost end of 2024 and nothing. It’s sad how they waste potential of really good game that have it own 5 minutes on yt, it’s sad how big part of my childhood is just doomed cuz devs don’t seems to care. It’s more possible for me that I will do next mission survival part than they make Chapter 2 update 😢

We got hope! They posted that they worked on the physics. So they probably finished everythig in the update and are doing final touches

Its been 4 years since survival released and 1 year since the last devlog I fully believe they will push it back to May 7th 2025 and it will still be full of bugs

It's been over a year scince the last devblog on the steam page. I'm assuming they just don't want to make the playerbase see to much of what they have already done and it seems they might just be doing some bugfixes at the moment so the game is good to go when it's released. Most of this is just my theory but is most likely the case. I hope it will be and a releasable standard pretty soon as it's been a hot minute. One other thing I wanted to mention is that this is alot like the minecraft caves n cliffs update where they gave so much with little to no time to no only create someone but to also have it work great. I feel that the devs of scrap mechanic are trying their best to give themselfs as much time as they need and that it will be a great and polished update especially since they have seen how much they their community cares about this update that they DO NOT want to make the same mistake as other games have.

I've been globally banned from every Scrap mechanic Discord server for sharing what I know. After I acquired company data thru Sweden's tax revenue service and thru Sweden's public company database, here's what I know so far.

Axolot was originally created by Pontus Holmbom with the help of his father Stefan Holmbom who just so happens to be a real estate mogul with an estimated value of around 2.8 million Kon (262, 017.87 USD). Stefan also owns many high level hotels across Sweden, so supplying Axolot with a free studio to work on the game and covering the financial expenses that need be.
Because of his dad's involvement in real estate Pontus is also the CEO in a company called Brema Invest AB.

Kacper Antoniszczak is the CEO of both Axolot AB and a company called Codebeat AB. He's also have been doing work with a company called Odd Raven Studio's AB and a DJ and music based company called From Above Entertainment AB.
Odd Raven Studio's is currently undergoing reformation as Kacper is now a member if it's board, this means that it's very likely that Odd Raven will be absorbed into Axolot.
